Last Friday I spent some time in Old San Juan.  Just as I arrived I discovered the new Visitor Information Center that’s located right behind the Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Municipal Theater, where the old “Public Bathing Facilities” used to be during the first decades of the 20th Century.

If you’re coming from the Covadonga Municipal Parking just walk west on Paseo Covadonga towards Recinto Sur Street until you reach the stairway leading towards Arturo Somohano Square.  You can’t miss it.  It will be the pink and white building on your right going up the stairs.

The place has everything: air conditioning, clean bathrooms, cold water, a small parlor where you can sit and relax while you read the many free publications that they offer, free WiFi and trained personnel that will answer all your questions.

Visitor hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am to 6:00pm.  For more information call 787–722-0200
