Plaza Car­oli­na is the sec­ond largest enclosed mall in Puer­to Rico.  At first glance it does­n’t seem so large because its foot­print isn’t as spread out as oth­er malls on the Island.  But half of Plaza Car­oli­na is under­ground.  The archi­tec­ture of the build­ing makes it seem small­er than it actu­al­ly is, but the mall has three floors, 240 stores, 7 anchor ten­ants and 1,500,000 sq. ft. of actu­al retail floor area.

The mall is locat­ed about 6 miles to the east of Luis Muñoz Marín Inter­na­tion­al Air­port on the inter­sec­tion of Ramon Bal­do­ri­o­ty de Cas­tro Express­way and Road #3 (65th Infantry) in the town of (you guessed it) Carolina.

The mall is very pop­u­lar among tourists vis­it­ing Puer­to Rico from the small­er Caribbean islands.
