el-chorro-de-dona-juana-400pxDoña Juana Juana Falls (or “El Chorro de Doña Juana, like the locals call it) is a beautiful three-level waterfall located in a remote area of the municipality of Villaba.

Villaba is one of those sleepy remote towns in the central part of Puerto Rico where locals are friendly, the views are stunning and the temperature drops about 10 degrees.  In fact, it’s part of “la ruta panorámica” (the panoramic route) because you can catch spectacular views of the northern or southern coasts depending on where you stand.

Finding “Doña Juana Falls” isn’t easy.  In fact, the first time that I went there it took me a while to find it.  That’s why we created “Puerto Rico” by GPS”, to show our visitors the beautiful hidden spots that even many locals don’t know how to reach.

And if you are an amateur or professional photographer, like me, you’re in for a treat.  This is Puerto Rico’s exuberant tropical nature at its best!

  1. I was using this information for a school project, and it was not very helpful. I suggest that you tell the audience a little more about Chorro de Dona Juana.

    1. What more is there to say? It’s a waterfall. It’s right next to the road. The GPS coordinates are in the post, so you can’t get lost. And I included a great photo. What else would you add?

  2. Thank you for sharing this important information about

    1. It’s my pleasure Denice. I’ve traveled quite extensively outside the Island, but nothing makes me happier than exploring Puerto Rico and showing it to the world. Have a great Thanksgiving Day and a Merry Christmas.
